Win spirit level windage sight

I have a Win. style spirit level front sight with windage made by Frank Zika. I would like to add some tension to the windage screw, any ideas?
Thanks!

I have in the past been able to find small diameter Coil springs that would fit around the screw. Start with the a Little long and assemble the sight and try it with the thumb screw. If it real tight dis asassemble and cut a couple of turns off the spring and put it back together and try again. If it gets too easy throw that spring away get a new one cut it a little longer than the last  and try again, Ad finitum.

Screw the top part of the sight completely off and then clean the piece with the screw in acetone making sure you get all the oil and grease off the screw.  Put a drop or two of blue loctite on the threads and spread it out with a toothpick. If there looks like too much, wick it away with the corner of a kleenex.  Put the piece aside for a few days and let it cure.  Once dry, put it back together.  Check now and then to make sure the two pieces don't take a set.  Worked on both of my Axtell copies.

Don't know if it applies in this case, but my Soule sights use a hardware store wavy spring washer for windage to add friction and remove backlash.

Tension to the windage screw. Upper portion of the sight is a loose fit in the base? The dovetail in the sight not in the barrel.

I squeeze the base in a machine vise till the two halves are a light interference fit. That effects screw tension when adjusting the sight.
