Just acquired a nice 1885 in 32-40 that has never been tapped for a scope. I have a nice lathe, ,but no mill to do a descent job in tapping scope mount holes. Have not lived out here long (2 yrs), so don't know of a Smith to rely on for the job. Most I find are either pistol only, or parts replacers. If you know of one, please let me know..Thanks,

I've got a local guy, a retired tool and die maker with an FFL, who saves me a lot of time and agro by d/t'ing scope mount holes. PM me with your location/contact info and perhaps we can accommodate you.
