Cimarron Arms (Uberti) High Wall Trigger Swap

Cimarron Firearms sells a double set trigger group for the High Wall. Can anyone tell me if it can be swapped out for the single standard trigger without machine work on the receiver?

Thanks

Yes it can, it is a different lower tang, finger lever, sear knock off, and hammer w/ fly. NO machine work

Just remembered, I believe the double set is only offered for a pistol grip stock, so the lower tang would be a problem if you have a straight stock.

Thanks, Brian. I do have the straight stock, but might give it a try and see if I can straighten the lower tang.

ThTx ... Curious, why do want only a standard single trigger?
And with one, what trigger pull ounces are you going to reduce it to?

That's backwards, John Boy. I have the single standard trigger, I want the double set triggers.

My rifle is at 3.25 pounds right now. I would like to get it down to two pounds. That is where I have my more modern 1,000 yd rifles. I would like to get my high wall and my low wall down to this.

Seems like you could get that standard trigger down to about 2.5 with some trigger / spring work.  I know a friend got his down to that, possibly even less.  That would save you a lot of money...

And, DSTs have a noticeable added lock time.

Well, if the single set trigger is like mine, it's a piece of crap. The double set interchanges easily, although I'm not sure why I needed all the extra parts.

Didn't se ant mention that he has a single set trigger; just a single trigger.
Not sure the curved tang for the DST could be straightened and not mess up geometry, or at the least mess up the finish.
