Will a CPA Pope lever fit an original Stevens 44 1/2?

Yes, with a small modification. Can’t remember if it is one or both holes are a smaller diameter in the CPA. Lever pin and link pin. Plunger is the same.

I'm thinking it may not work, but would a CPA lever fit a 044 1/2?  Thanks

Designed for the CPA 44 1/2 action, these levers will also fit original Stevens 44 1/2 rifles with minor modifications.

Why not just call CPA and ask exactly what those minor modifications might actually be as yes the lever will work as is being clearly stated above and taken from their web site.

Thanks guys.

John, I don't want to. Easier to ask here and I don't have to pay for a phone call.   Smiley

You should probably call CPA, If the clown above can't remember if he drilled one hole or two, he probably can't be trusted. Cheesy

Joe I would not do so either we are both probably more than capable to do the minor mods ourselves now knowing that is all it takes to make it work.
