Finally got this project buttoned up. So far it is shooting well from 200-400 with fire forming loads.

Nice! I've got one of those reamers and dies as I thought the wife might like shooting it... 

Are you shooting smokeless or BP?

Forming brass from Winchester 45-70. After sizing and trimming I inside neck ream on the lathe before before expanding the neck. Reaming removes the inside taper, most of it anyway. 

My swaging die puts out a .396 bullet and the adjustable mould drops a .397 bullet. Patched bullets measure .402/.403 depending on various papers used.

By "Winchester .45-70" can I assume this is the .45-70 Government cartridge, or is it some Win. derivative?

Very nice looking gun. Im very intrested in both the 40-50 straight for a greaser and 40-50 SBN for a  paper patch. More wants than money...
