Anyone shooting an Anschutz sight Has turned it the wrong way.  I have done it several times in the same match. Nines hurt, eights kill you.

I got lost at Las Vegas a few years ago using Anschutz sights. Luckily it was on the sighter target. The wind was blowing strong from three oclock and I had no idea where the shots were going. Some good soul got me back on paper. I was turning the sight the wrong way.  Grin

I know that same feeling way too well. Makes one wonder why anyone would even make them ass backwords from a scope?

The sights came first so they made the scopes ass backards of the sights.  Grin

When I'm shooting and making sight adjustments I always write down the adjustment changes just for this reason. If I need to go back I can look at what I wrote down, and go right back to zero again.

Americans and the Commonwealth turn the knob in order to move bullet point of impact to center of the target . Germans turn the knob to move the target to meet the bullets point of impact. Germans are always right, target must be hung wrong.

May or may not be true but easy to remember. Was told to do it that way shooting a club owned Anschutz in Australia and never cranked windage wrong.

Funny you should mention Germans as very few of their diopters have scales.  They simply remember or write down how many turns they took with a clock key on their sight at the last match.  Not very precise.

When adjusting a windgauge front sight I always move the barrel left or right, not the sight.

Hey! That's a good way to think of that! Smiley
