Yep, you're correct. My Winchester slugs at .408.  I've used Winchester brass however. Maybe I squeezed um down.  I know I used Winchester because I shot them till they wore out and replaced with Remington. 

For what it is worth, not all of Ron Longs barrels are the same. I have a Ballard he built into 40-65 RL, with his barrel of course. It for sure measures 0.406". I have his mold for the rifle which casts the correct size cast bullet for this rifle, at 0.406" as well.
There were any number of them around with barrels this size back in the day 20-25 years ago at the Denver BPCRS matchs.

At one point I thought someone had a copy of the PTG drawing book and posted a print on this forum, have not received a response from Shiloh or PTG for information on the reamer specs.
