This is why I hate .22lr Match Rifles

I bought a CPA here a few weeks back in .22.i bought a brick of Eley target to try.(Its usually against my policy to shoot the really good stuff due to my cheapness).it shot so well i grimaced and bought a bunch in the same lot .Then last week I bought a bit more.Today I shot this  5  group at 100 yards and a couple at 200 yards (I forgot to retrieve) that were the smallest by this gun so far. The group shown is not rare with this lot of Eley.ive shot many that size and one lucky one hole group.
As of today its all gone.i was ready to order 3 cases when.i.got home.I should have done it last week!

Its frustrating to have to rely on factory ammo.

As soon as you get a quantity of the same lot, it will stop shooting well.  That is the rule!

My hesitancy to shoot really good match ammo is the same, and my reason is the same! Afraid I'd love it so much I'd be stuck buying it afterwards.
I've got 10,000 rds. of Winchester white box I won at one of my gun club's Christmas parties, and it shoots accurate. So I keep using it instead.

I have 3 cases of cci standard velocity from way back that shoots great. I shouldn't have tried the eley.i want to shoot my schuetzen cpa in a local "tactical " sniper match against the suppressed bolt guns.so i bit the bullet and pays my money.its painful though!

Due availability switched from Eley to RWS several years ago.  My two CPA rifles .22 barrels deliver excellent results with R50. Surprise was the results with RWS target rifle. Half R50 price.

Rule I used to follow with my Anschutz Super Match was Eley Tenx when it counts Black Box club matches. Thought was barrel did not need to season when switching if using same brand & lube. That seems to be true R50-Target Rifle.

It’s also frustrating to have to depend on factory primers, but as yet I don’t have a flintlock.

I'm going to guess that maybe it came from Killough shooting sports...?  anyways whether or not... they had all sorts of eley even up to two weeks ago....then poof!

I saw where Midway had some Tenex back in stock....
at 29 a box.....(0.58/rd) still can't get the throw up taste outta my mouth.    I remember my dad saying he use to pay a quarter a box for .22 back in the day (Rem).

great group btw

It looks like Brunos has Tenex in stock at $19.91 a box.
