Stevens 45-44 1/2 factory re-barrel?

I just received my latest gunbroker buy yesterday,a Stevens 45-44 1/2. This rifle has double set triggers, and has the standard #2 Swiss buttplate. It has what I believe is a later Savage owned Stevens re-barrel in .25 Stevens rf,which is a full round 26"barrel,and has an excellent bore. The barrel is stamped with the Stevens arm company roll stamp, rather than the Stevens A&T stamping. It has a matching serial number of 10013,with the barrel stamping under the forend. Also note the course checkering on the hammer similar to the checkering on the trigger of late model Stevens 44's. What say you?

At first I thought that someone just re-barreled it with a later 44 barrel, but the barrel is exactly 26"long,so it couldn't have been set back and rethreaded. The work looks factory to me? A few more pictures:
