Marlin guy 5 hours well worth it. May do a trade next week & the gun is 400 miles away. 800 round trip and they are East Coast miles.

Cup of coffee, podcast to listen to, take a nap when needed. Better than staying home & raking leaves

Yeah; where those leaves going to go anyhow? Grin

I never rake leaves, just mow many of them with mulching blades, good organic material for spring growth. Trying to let most of the property return to short grass prairie!!!!!! Just a thought for you rakers, and it gives me more time for the things I really enjoy doing.

No trees, so no leaves. Mostly fir or other evergreens in the neighborhood, so don't even get fir needles around here. I hate yard work!

Right on, Vall!  Life's too short (and getting shorter) to try to out-fight Mother Nature.

I have 12 full-size maples and a large oak.  October is the official start of leaf blowing, raking, and hauling.

Darn right!
I've been fortunate to have a next door neighbor who is a landscaper, and has gladly mowed my yard and edged it for decades! We keep an eye out on his place, and do what I can to help because he wont let us pay him for the lawn care. He's lived next door all his life in the family home, and ben a great neighbor to us for over 3 decades!

I am a golf course superintendent. There is no possible way to pick up all of the leaves on the course, we use mowers to blow leaves into rows, then drive the mower backwards over the rows of leaves  to mulch them.

Lewiston is just a five hour drive on a good two lane road from Nampa, where I live.  It's a pretty drive this time of year, and there's a restaurant enroute that specializes in Rhubarb-Strawberry home made pies.
