Friend Dennis said that if you have more than one of something, that makes it a collection. I bought an amazing George Schoyen .22 Ballard a few years ago that started this mini collection within my collection.
Top to bottom ...
No.1 - H.M. Pope Ballard .22LR
No.2 - A.W. Peterson .22LR
No.3 - George Schoyen .22LR
No.4 - custom Zischang-style .22LR
No.5 - A.O. Niedner .22 Cal (need to do a chamber cast)
No.6 - Eric Johnson .22 Cal
What other barrel makers would you add? ... Hubalek, C.C. Johnson, Titherington, ...

Maybe a Pfeifer and Buhmiller all though they are probably more 30's to 40's related.

All very nice but I’m green with envy over 2,3 and 4!

Is that a Peterson scope on the Peterson example?

Yes, that’s a Peterson scope on the A.W. Peterson rifle. The front scope mount has the windage Adjustment and the rear is for elevation.

Well that makes thing a lot clearer. With all of the fine Ballards owned by just a few members of this forum, what does that leave for the rest of us to fight over, 3, maybe 4?
No wonder I never run across any.

Now that is a specialty .22 collection within a single shot collection! Super nice, you’ve done yourself well!

Joe,
Real nice collection! I'm glad you didn't bid against me on the Pope I recently purchased, I can at least say I have one with markings of a known individual... Pope, the rest of mine I have to be satisfied making in the shadows of those greats.
At least I know who to go to for ideas to copy mine from
Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I have:
Pope .22WCF
Zettler Bros. .22 Short
Cody Schoyen Schuetzen .22LR
plus several different style factory Marlin Ballard #3 versions. But never pursued Ballard .22's, they just seemed to find me regardless.
