Nice! I am a sucker for a nice piece of wood and you have to love an express sight with a banded front on a big Martini. Very cool. ratseye

Mea Culpa...  MINE!
I have always loved the British Stalking Rifle, and now I will have one.
For boar/pig, deer at less than 200 yards, and anything else I can think of...
Hats off for taking a bundle of parts and getting the picture out of my imagination and shaping it into steel and walnut. Smiley

I wondered if it was a small BSA or an original Francotte action.
Nice rifle.
.22 is wasted in those actions  Smiley Wink

.357 Jeroboam might fit. In wine that's equal to 6 standard sized bottles.
Do you reload for it? What game do you use it for?

If you're answering my post, yes I reload cast bullets for it. Norma cases are a little bit expensive though. i.load it with an assortment of other dies so I didn't have to spring for an expensive die set

I generally load 200g bullets to about 1300 feet per second but I've also used this 9 mm Makarov bullet with 6 grains of Bullseye at just a touch over a 1000 fps .
the little 95g Makarov bullet will print bugholes at 25 yards and about an inch and a half at 50.

Cbashooter

I like single shots and straight or barely necked cartridges.
Then again I like almost any rifle...
Congratulations for keeping that fine old rifle running Smiley
