This is a reasonable solution for a bullet seater can be made by using a fired case and drilling out the primer pocket to allow a short cleaning rod to pass through.

Then file off the needle of a cleaning jag and screw it on just like if using a case for a bore guide.  This generally allows enough force to start the bullet enough to use a plugged case even if the bullet is not tapered.

If using a tapered or soft enough bullet, a stop ring type collet can be added. A slight bend in the rod clears the hammer.

I have also enlarge the primer pocket enough on a filled case type plugged seater to accept a cleaning rod with a rounded tip to push the case.

Works pretty well on Model 44’s where the block doesn’t roll forward.

I use a plug case in my model 44 and the breach does tip forward a bit

Would it be cheaper and easier to get a mold that casts the correct size bullet?

Just a thought.   Undecided

You can also make yourself a seater and an adjustable seater case that simply works off of a tang sight base cross attachment screw as being shown below. The piece beyond the seater case is just a Delrin plug to protect the mouth of the case when it is being stored. Its actually really simple to make and the bend in the handle is just to allow it to clear the scope.
