What velocity can I expect

Working on a duplex load in my 40-70 SS with a 29" barrel.  I have a chamber that was cut to handle 405 brass full length and am using a 330 gr bullet patched to allow seating of only 0.15 into the case.  I am using 6 grains of Re7 and the case filled with Swiss 3f, a 0.060 vegetable wad, a 1/8" cookie of Tropic, a 0.030 plastic wad all compressed to allow 0.15 hand seating.  I haven't weighed the blackpowder charge as I use a Belding & Mull and just go by volumes to allow a slight compression.  Any idea what velocity I might be getting?  Looking to hunt antelope this fall and was curious as to what the trajectory might be.  Thanks.  Tom

I suspect the velocity with that load would be about 1300 to 1500fps. With that weight bullet the trajectory should be about what the trajectory tables say.

Hey, you're going to get within a 100 yards anyway, right?
