	Just thought I would put this up for interest as a fore-runner to some of the long range cartridge target rifles. One of my old dads guns that I have now taken over.

	That is such a beautiful rifle. I have never shot a percussion rifle but I do appreciate those rifles and pieces of history. I’d love to see a photo of the inscribed oval on the buttstock.

	I've never been into muzzleloader rifles, but one that beautiful would sure change my mind and make me want to own and shoot it! That's spectacular!

	begs the question is it a conventional rifling or hexagonal? i played with a repro of one of these and the the accuracy at 500 yds was amazing. a very beautiful piece

	Charle, I have a copy of The Target Rifle in Australia 1860-1900 by J.E. Corcoran and it is amazing to read about all the fine target rifles that ended up over there. I found the Webley Wyley ratchet rifled match rifle especially interesting. I can highly recommend this book to those interested in fine target rifles rarely encountered here.
