There is a fellow up here in Canada advertising an original  Peabody Martini Whatcheer long range target rifle that looks pretty similar.  A little lower grade of wood and engraving, but in very good condition.  It looks pretty nice, but I'm far from an expert on this type of rifle.

Closest I ever got to this was a GI PM in 50-70 with an Indian carved in the stock - 3rd grade style:-(
