	I just bought a action and it is is a low three digit serial number. Number 47 is on the face of the action. approximately how many of this model were made? I will post pictures when I get it in the mail.

	Since there are no Stevens factory records, the best I can guesstimate based on my too many decades of experience is that the most common "deluxe" grade Stevens in either action is the No. 45, and that most buyers seemed to have skipped over the No. 47 and No. 49 models in favor of the fancier editions. Therefore, say in the high hundreds to the low thousands. Bill Lawrence

	Three digit s/n means it must be a 44 1/2 style action. Good score!
