I purchase my media from Kramer Industries in a very Fine mesh Walnut media I generally use it until it NG.   i also Use an Industrial additive Call " BUFFER' from Kramer. This product is a white Powder that has a mild abrasive  to remove scratches  and leave a Good. shine.. I'm Not interested in primer pockets. . I was never a SS fan 
This Is my preference. and it works best for my needs
