I received the High Wall a lot quicker than I thought so Xmas came early this year. I have spent most of this afternoon working on it. A little Kroil and JB compound and the bore shines like new. The twist of the rifling is the standard 1:16.  The bore is .313 and the groves are .323. I cast the chamber and about 1" of rifling with creosafe . No surprises there as it is still 32-40. I pulled the breach block and hammer and all is good as this rifle looks like it wasn't shot very much.
The rear sight is the standard Winchester mid-range vernier and is nice and smooth in operation. The front sight is a gold washed beaches.
All in all I am very pleased with this rifle and feel like I got more than my moneys worth.
Now to prepare 100 cases for it and wait until a little warm weather comes my way.

Very, very nice! That’s one to be proud of and should give you many years of pleasure! Wish I had one with close coupled triggers . Mine are single, single set and double set triggers, never managed to get a close coupled set 1885.

That's a great catch.  We need a range report!

An update
I now have 100 cases prepped and ready (trimmed to length, run thru sizer die and flash hole uniformed) a new mold made to my specs and a breech seater made, modeled after Russ Weber's. Next is a trip to the range when the weather wants to cooperate.

I copy really well. I have a lathe and a vertical mill and I don't always know what I am doing with them so I fake it. Have busted or dulled more than one cutter. OK quite a few.  I have 3 of Russ's seaters and now understand why he charger what he did for them. He will be missed.

I bought a Teslong bore scope and ran it thru my original Winchester High Wall. Pictures are of the crown, mid bore and the start of the rifling ahead of the chamber.

Those borescope pic's show that your rifle will definitely not be a good shooter. But, all is not lost as I'll take it off your hands. Great looking rifle with the rarest of Win trigger groups. Enjoy!!
