A friend recently purchased a sporting Maynard with a tang sight we are trying to ID.  Hopefully someone here can help us.  Thanks

I think it's a Lyman 109. They are often seen on Maynards.

I thought it was interesting how the windage works, appears the wedge piece rotates and cants the sight stem left or right is that correct?

OK, I just can't help myself and I have to ask ... what calibre is your friend's Maynard?

I believe there was a Lyman No. 15, that looked very similar to this sight, and if I recall, it was touted to be the first of their windage adlustable tang sights. If a 109, quite possibly this is a refinement of the 15? I too had one on a Hepburn, neat sight.
