	This past weekend at Poulins Auction, this 8.15x46R rifle was sold for $3500! One of the finest German Schuetzens I seen in a long time. A real piece of art. Wow, what has happened? Nobody interested in these fine rifles anymore?

	Yes, a very beautiful rifle but my dealer friend told me that the market in schuetzen rifles is way down. Might be a good time to buy.

	Look at Poulin or even Morphy’s ... Winchester Schuetzen rifles realizing 3,500 to 4,000 not including buyer’s premium or shipping but still about half of what they were selling for 4-5 years ago. NOW is definitely the time to start a collection. ... or add to your existing collection.

I compare my fully engraved & carved 9.5x47R "M Gruny Martini Action" to this one in the post and The Price Of Poker just went up I paid $1500 for mine plus $600 for the missing vernier with a quality that doesn't even come close to the posted one which is an engraved combination 'telephone pole & ocular' vernier too More pictures of the Steigele ... 	WOW! Have been a fan of Steigele kombis and drillings for half my life but never had an inkling that Steigele also made Schuetzen rifles. One Steigele kombi was my only hunting gun for 15 years -- even though it was "bottom of line" it was more ornate than any hunting gun I ever saw in field. SKG

	They also made Zimmerstutzens with their improved "System Stiegele" mechanism.

	My Stiegele rifle surprised me by having English screw threads in it. E.g., the stock draw bolt is 3/8 BSF, and the barrel thread is 5/8 British Standard Pipe. Another thread is 7/32 BSF. Action sourced from Birmingham, maybe? CHRIS RGChristensen
