32 Winchester Special Accuracy

I found a MEacham 1885 Highwall at a decent price but it’s chambered for 32 Winchester Special. With the right powder and bullets can it be an accurate target performer at up to 200 yards? Thanks!

I have a behind-the-woodshed marriage of a heavy Winchester barrel with a Stevens 44-1/2 action.  The barrel is marked “.32-40,” but has been rechambered to .32 Special.  You can see the slight taper at the end of the.32 Special fired shells where the .32-40 chamber didn't quite clean up.

Every time I drag it out of the safe and haul it to the range, I’m impressed at how well the thing shoots.

It seems to favor the Ideal 321297 gas-check bullet with 16 gr of XMP-5744 or 18 gr of H-4198.
