Stevens 44 1/2 From Friend's Estate (Read 2226 times)

	A little while back I posted about the loss of my good friend Mark Mueller. Last week his estate was "settled". His single shot rifles were entrusted to me to sell for the family. 2 of the rifles went to current Arizona Schuetzenverein members and 2 went to brand new members. Mark would have liked knowing 2 of his rifles brought new people to the group. The family then awarded me the rifles that Mark would have taught my daughter to shoot with. This Stevens 44 1/2 chambered in .22 LR with a Lyman Jr. Target Sport 6x will be a fine start for Madeline. 	Lovely rifle. Does the "hump" just in front of the receiver indicate that it's been rebarreled? Bill Lawrence

	Very nice Scott. It's always tough to have to deal with selling a friend's estate guns, but it's nice that you were able to direct his guns to good homes. Glad his family thought enough of your help to pass the 44 1/2 on to you also!

	Great looking Stevens rifle! Your plan to get the junior involved sounds like a wonderful way to honor that gentleman.
