Am always amazed at the work some folks here do with their machine tools. Very nice.

Great thing about Haas, other than their excellent quality, is they are still made in the USA.

Really great looking build and I will go along with the rest in that your work is impressive, and I am a retired toolmaker. I do see a thing or 2 I might have made a little different, but don't bash me for just keeping those things to my self. As to the CCH, every time one is done they all come out a bit different. Hey its unique, what else can be said.
I am working on a Hepburn kit from one of the casting kits. It came with some kind of crude prints but the one thing that the prints don't tell me is the location and spacing of the tang sight holes. Would you be so kind as to tell me the size, spacing and location of the holes? Do they come off of the end of the tang or from the rear tang screw hole, or some other place.
Thanks in advance.

My print shows 1.937 spacing with the first hole 1.047 from the end of the tang. 10-32 UNF. (.187-28 original screw).
Yeah, there are a lot of things I would do different if I were to do it again. I would probably locate an original or casting and modify my cad models to match, first off. Among other things.

Thanks much for the info, I have put it one one of the prints that came with my casting. My kit is one from Upper Missouri Trading. The prints are a bit rough and not many dimensions. I am guessing that you have a heck of a lot of hours invested in the programing for that project.  I guess the upside is you have all of the hard stuff done and it works. Now you can set and tweak things here and there to make the changes you would like.
All of my work over the years has predominately been on manual machines. although i did do a stint running a Wire EDM. I did eventually follow a suggestion and learned to use a cad program. I am glad I did, makes things so much nicer to build when you take the time to draw things out in advance.
Thanks again.
