Interesting, Have to admire the skills of CNC programmers.
Every bit as skilled as old fashioned crank turners, just different.
Nice work.

Just curious, How did you cut the square corner block opening and the extractor clearance slot in the receiver?
Several more pretty tough parts to make but looks like you will get there.

I haven't cut the extractor slot yet. But I used a woodruff cutter in my manual mill to cut most of the depth of the block square cut, then broached the remainder with a hss square bit. I didnt get a pic of the woodruff operation, sorry.

(I first used a pocketing program from the top to rough out most of the block cut. ) Will try to post more pics this weekend as I get more done.

A close cousin.

I worked on a Super Mini, my last 3 years, before retiring, it had a 4th axis, I loved it! I think Haas is the best of CNC mills.

First - I am very impressed!

May I ask; What was the bases of the parts dimensions?
And, how much hand fitting is there for the average part?

I guess this line of questioning leads up to; would your parts, like the breech block for instances, fit an original action?

CNC is well beyond me at this point.   It would be good to watch some CNC production.
Thanks. -CW
