Silver - Grey Action Finish Options

Hello All,

I am wondering what options are available, in addition to the thin hard chrome types.  It would great to find a source that speaks to the pros and cons with regard to durability, corrosion-resistance, etc.

French Gray?

I read a long thread on French Gray, but most referred to the term as more of a general class as opposed to a specific process.

Metalife they advertise in the Journal and the finish is close to French Gray and also Salt water proof its a rugged finish. I believe it was Dale McGee who had his engraved Perrigine in one of the Journals and a beautiful rifle indeed.
