New Mexico cow elk with B-78

Just finished a fun hunt in norther New Mexico for a cow elk hunt.  I used my RMEF B-78 in 300 h&h to take this cow at 360 yards.  Spotted her and another cow at first light and got as close as I could for a shot.  This was the first time in several years I decided to take a modern single shot and not an original.  Next year I will take my Borchardt in 30-40AI.  I had it with me but this was the first day of the hunt  and I thought I would take the Browning as I had never killed an animal with it yet.  By the time I reloaded she was falling over for good with a shot through the heart and lungs.  Tom

Some real good eating meat you now have to enjoy and some of the very best in my book. Congratulations on a very successful hunt.

Congrats.  Looks like a freezer full.
