Does this include RV's at the 1000yd/big-bore silhouette range?
What's the problem?

We had the same issue at our range here. It was the county that said our range was not zoned for camping. Unfortunately it ended some great events at Douglas Ridge because many who came from a long ways away stopped coming when camping ended.
To make matters worse, the county never knew it was going on, and likely didn't care. But some idiot at a meeting asked if it was OK, and then called the county to get an answer. Might have gone on forever if he hadn't contacted anyone to ask.

Hello all,

There have been posts made on a few internet forums and FB about camping at Ridgway

Camping has been temporarily stopped at Ridgway after 30 plus years.

Here's why.

"Someone" on the town counsel decided Ridgway was operating an illegal campground.

They threatened the president Fred K with a $5000.00 fine and jail time.

At the club meeting Thursday night, it was decided a sewage holding tank would solve the problem and make the town happy.

Fred received the permit to install one today.

Work will start as soon as a contractor can be hired next week.
I'll supply up-dates as I receive them

Let's keep our fingers crossed that this issue will be cleaned up before the PA State Championship the end of June.

I'm glad that is was not because someone disrespected the place and trashed it up. I hope this gets straightened out and activities resume as usual.

If private property and a private club I would have not so kindly said get your A--S  off private property before I call law enforcement to have you removed. But if not I would guess you are just at their unmerciful mercy and will have to just kiss their you know what to make it work.

Ridgway BPCR Silhouette
PA State Championship June 25rd and 24th

6/14/2018

Sorry to be sending this newsletter out so late.

I wanted to wait until I had news on the camping situation at Ridgway.
Camping WILL be allowed at the range for our match in June for any and all who wish to stay on the High Power range.

There's also lodging at The Royal Inn and up in St. Marys.

Here's a list of restaurants in town.

The Summit has wings, more variety than you can imagine.
Fox's make excellent pizza
The Royal will serve you an incredible Prime Rib.

This month will be the PA State Championship
It's an NRA sanctioned match.

We'll be shooting 60 shots per day for score so folks will be able to earn a 15 chicken pin.
I have plenty of them.
Make sure you bring plenty of ammo.

I'll have the range open for practice Friday for those who wish to practice or need to get sight settings.

Both Saturday and Sunday the range will be open at 8:00 for 40 minutes of practice.
We'll have a mandatory shooters meeting at 8:45 and the match will start at 9:00 AM sharp.

When tipping our wonderful target setters make sure you tip for each day, not all on the first day.
Sometimes we don't have the same group of kids each day.

There will be printed awards for each day plus an aggregate award for the weekend.
We also have some nice donations from our sponsors.

Feel Free to email me with any questions you may have.
