It's not in common use for Schuetzen cartridges, as you know so, this is my suggestion. Buy it, if it's cheap! Powder ONLY goes up, in price. Resale it if it doesn't work out, for your needs. As for it's use, since it's slower powder, the main concern in using it, is for it to burn clean. Check that first, using a chronograph at a speed of ~1500 fps. For starting data, start with a charge that is 1.0 gr more than 296. One of the more successful 32/40 shooters, uses 15.0 gr of 296 and a 230 gr bullet in a strong action. If you can't get accuracy by ~1600 fps with PB bullets, start thinking of it as a powder for GC Bullets. If you don't find accuracy in PB, I think you may find it in GC loads. The pressure range that it was designed for, is ~40K CUP and that is the range that many CBA, target class shooters work in. And then.......... if you have a auto-loader, in 7.62x39, that is what Olin, actually designed it for and that's what will make it easy to resale and make a profit, while your at it. Frank.
