Have a 32 RF short low wall that I intend to chamber for CF use and rather than convert the breach block would like to swap.

I know I have some latitude in headspace change but from a dimensional standpoint, are the breach blocks traditionally (unmodified ones) close enough to get by?

A used CF that I can swap would be much simpler than mutilating a good RF block.

Overall I've had pretty good luck swapping around Winchester breech blocks of similar style and vintage.  Two problems worth mentioning, 1) a 32 RF block has the centerline of the FP hole drilled lower in the block than the CF version and simply bushing the face of the block and adding a standard CF FP will likely result in too-low hits on the primer.  An original CF block (or a bushed 22 RF block) tends to bring less of a problem overall.  I had 2 low walls in 32 RF converted and the bushed original block had to have a special link to raise it up in the receiver... the original CF block had no such problem. 2) High wall, low wall musket and early (high block) low wall blocks all tend to stick up too high or down too low on the smaller, smooth side low wall receivers.
