Just got back my low wall in 25-25 wcf . 10 twist. 120 grain mos bullet, looking for idea on a charge for it.  Is 7.5 or 7.6 of H108 ok or should I look more at H110 or H4227.
Thanks in advance Bill

We were pushing 122 grain Paul Jones spitzers in our 9:1 gain twist .25 RKS with 9.6 grains of H108 to get 1600 fps.

The .25-20 WCF is a slightly smaller case; however 7.5 or 7.6 of H108 may be a bit light.

Check your velocities and try to get it up to 1600 fps.

Hopefully Jerry Hartwig who shoots with our group might chime in as he has now shot eight or possibly nine 250's with his 10 twist Douglas barrel chambered in 25 WCF in registered matches with his CPA Schuetzen rifle. All though he pushes it a bit hard and for safety reasons he might not and very understandably so might not want to share his load data. And one of those 250's was shot in an iron sight match and an accomplishment few have ever obtained with other more conducive cartridge chamberings used in the sport such as the 32 Miller Short and it's variations and or the even more popular 32-40.

My rifle and loading data are no secret as my targets have been posted here on the forum. However, a 1/10 grain increase in the powder charge will stick cases in my barrel. This is an absolute maximum load in my rifle. You would be wise to start low and slowly work your way up.

I run my Mos 120 gr. bullet at 1660 fps with 9.6 gr. of AA4100 (Ramshot Enforcer is the exact same powder) and a CCI BR4 primer. Again, this is an absolute maximum load in my rifle. Start well below what I use and slowly work your way up until you reach your desired results.

I do know that the same 120 gr. Mos bullet works very well at 1550 fps. Two years ago the Modesto ISSA Regional Grand Agg was won by Jerry Cleave with a 25-20SS using a Mos bullet at that velocity. Jerry Cleave also won the QB match at the Modesto ISSA Regional this last year with the same rifle.
