	Macca, I agree with Called Flyer. Harder antimony containing bullets may work well for you. I have been shooting my 9+1 cliponWW/lino bullets for yrs. Last few years, out of first a Brg 40-65, and now a custom HiWall 40-65. 74.5 gr Swiss 1.5/0.060 LDPE wad under a 9+1 tapered Elliptical GG bullet clocking 1400fps over my Oehler 33. Lately now using same charge under a similar profile PP bullet. Getting Minute of angle accuracy when I do my part. And no leading. Just making sure the GG bullets are 0.001+ over groove dia, and seated out into the freebore/leade. beltfed/arnie

	Hi Guys, I have a large bucket full of Lino type in the garage. I use it and some tin to harden my lead mix. Im looking for an imprint diameter of 0.07inch using the lee hardness tester. This 10.4 BHN. This gives a bullet weight of 407gn +-. I have tried bullets up to 15 BHN. The 10.4BHN works best in my guns. I get the odd little fleck of lead on my first patch but nothing when I put a lead cleaning patch through. I have machined up a small ingot mould with dead flat and smooth bottom. I cast little ingots to test when formulating a mix. When making a mix up I keep adding linotype and sometimes pure tin until I get the desired imprint diameter on the ingot. cheers macca

	To add to Macca's post, I have technique to gauge lead hardness that I found in an old Lyman collection of casting articles. Mount a 7/16" ball bearing in the jaws of a drill press, place a bathroom scale on the platform with the lead sample on top, press the ball bearing down on the sample until the scale reads 200 lbs, measure the diameter of the depression. I have the table that lists the relative diameters to the BHN scale around somewhere if anyone is interested, but I find the ease of comparing relative samples the most useful function.

	Macca, You spoke about using a "lead cleaning patch". I think that is a product that I've been looking for. I need to get rid of some lead smears and small lead buildup on my moulds at times. Is that what your patches are for? Lyman used to have a cloth that was supposed to do the same but when I called Lyman last week they said it's no longer available.

	Hi guys, been out of touch for a while. Mick B sent me some bullets from a Lyman mould he had. Tried them and they seemed to work - purchased mould from him. So today I tried it in competition with a 35mph westerly blowing, fortunately mostly at my back.The result is in the pic below. Scored at 100.4 with 10 shots. 1.4 inch center center. Range 110 yards. Bullet weighs around the 385 mark while my money bullet runs 407 - strange part is the load used is identical for both bullets - the only change is to move the sight up a half a point for the lighter bullet

	So here are the two bullets - pointy one is 382 gn the other is 406 gn - now they are shot with exactly the same load in the case. You could load 10 cases the same and shoot alternate bullets and end up with two groups about half inch apart vertically - thats if they didn't intersect. Really it shouldnt happen. Cheers

	Thanks Macca,I have been flirting with that mould for some time now,we still haven't got it together yet.A new approach may be needed,have breach seated at many depths,power variations,etc.some great 3 shot groups with a couple of out liers.I almost gave up on it.Have only used Wano P so far,about to try some Swiss soon.It might just be me and my crappy technique ,I should set up the Roller in my machine rest and cut out any error.If it wasn't such a pain to set up and transport I would use it more often.Not enough time when you are retired ,too busy!! 	Hi Mal, does your chamber have leade and freebore. If so dont breach seat that bullet. Im off the lands with both projectiles. I use wano 2p exclusively in the 40 calibre cases. 1p doesn't have enough oomph. My load is 64.5 gn 2P, over flash hole tracing paper wad, 30 thou oil jointing material(vegi) wad and a top tracing paper wad. Powder is drop tubed only (1 metre) absolutely no compression, projectiles are slip fit. My gun is a factory standard Browning 40/65. Chamber is slightly off center. You'll find what I do to the cases elsewhere in this thread cheers macca
