I suspect he's pointing out that the difference between the highest and lowest values are fourteen thousandths, rather than implying that there was an error.

A very competitive Western New York shooter could not get 30 American to shoot until enlarging the flash hole.

Another aspect of the flash hole question is cleaning them or decarboning them after so many rounds. We make sure they are uniformly cut but does any one ream them to make sure they stay the same size. This is one thing long range shooters do to their brass. Any ideas?

Years ago i did a side by side test with small and regular flash hole. I tested them side by side shooting one set then the other. I couls see no clear difference. I went back to preping my brass with a Sincere tool i've had for 40 Years now.

Sharpe in his reloading book, reported an increase in pressure as well as an increase in velocity when increasing the flash hole.  Problem was that the increase in pressure quickly became dangerously high.

Would the powder and case size have an effect on the results?

Just a little arss backwards thinking from some here I have found going slightly larger to better for my own use at .082 but I have also not tried going allot smaller as Keith has mentioned. But that is also with what I would consider being over powder capacity cases the 32-40 and 28-35SS in my case.

Mister, didn't your mother teach you that the names you call another are a reflection of oneself. I respect your knowledge but these barbs are a distraction at best.
