Maynard 25-20 WCF smokless load

I am relining a 25-20 single shot Maynard barrel to 25-20 Winchester. Has anyone come up with a smokeless load that would be safe in a 1882 Maynard NO. 16?

Why?  The SS has a long record as an accurate cartridge case.  The WCF record is dismal, spotty at best, & leaves an opportunity for the use of  HV loads.

And .25-20 Stevens (SS) brass is easier to come by these days than .25-20 WCF.

If anyone wants them, I've got modern .25 WCF cases to trade for modern .25 SS (except Bertram!) cases.  Some very old .25 SS cases I already have, so don't need more of them.

WRA once had two different 25-20WCF loadings, both of which used the 86gr bullet.
The first WRA 25-20WCF loading showed a muzzle velocity within ~35 fps of that shown for the WRA 25-20SS loading.
The second WRA 25-20WCF loading showed a muzzle velocity about 320fps faster than that shown for the WRA 25-20SS loading.
