Anyone Shooting .25-35 WCF In Competition?

Thinking about rebarreling a Miroku 1885 HiWall to .25-35WCF.  I have a CPA in .25-20WCF using a Mos 120 gr. bullet and 1/10 twist.
Most data I have found on the .25-35 says 1/8 twist for 117 gr.  jacketed bullets. Accurate lists 3 powders and IMR lists 2.
Just looking for some feedback/opinions on the .25-35 for 200 yd. target shooting.

A good friend of mine built a 25/35 on a 44 1/2. When he quit shooting, I bought the rifle. It was a 2 barrel set and I did the 32/35 Stevens barrel on it so, I sold off the 12 twist, 25/35 but, I got his targets with it.

All the loads are either 10.0 gr #9 or 10.0 gr 4227. The bullets where either a barnett 98 gr bullet of the Lyman 257418. You can tell which bullet by the meplat. The Barnett has a much larger meplat. The 200 yard score and group targets where shot in one of our matches.

Thanks for posting the targets, Frank. Lot of good information there. Darn good shooting. Wonder what kind of velocity he was getting with that 98 gr. pill. Guess I'm going to have to buy a chrony.

I'm trying to decide whether to go with a 1/10 or 1/8 twist with my 120 gr. Mos.

I just had my 44 1/2 rebarrelled in a #1 contour barrel for hunting.  I researched some and found that 1:9 was the twist Winchester used so that's what I went with.  I did not look at the stability with lead bullets at low velocity but at normal smokeless velocities a 1:10 was marginal according to the online formulas.  Tom

George,
in the lower left hand corner of the last target, it gives 1548 fps for the 10.0 gr load of 4227. #9 being a faster powder, 10 gr should give a little more velocity.
