Thanks Bob, I was looking for a picture of them. Do you have a date on the article (and which paper)

Photo comparisons can be difficult, especially when newspapers are involved, but in my opinion:
     - the armed woman in the photo might be Mrs. Krempel, but her rifle is not the same one shown in the newspaper;
     - the newspaper's man with the mustache is the man sitting in the front row next to the man whose wife's (?) hand is on his shoulder;
     - the newspaper's man with the scoped Ballard is the man photographed in the back row in line with the tree.

So, does the newspaper article identify Mrs. Krempel's male associates/competitors?

The lady is sportin' a takedown version. My eyes can't see well enough to tell with others in the photo. Great shot, ain't it?

It looks like a Stevens to me also.   Ledball

I wasn't speaking of the newpaper article's photo, but the one that was first posted. Winchester. Or, the best lookin' Stevens ever made. 

My great grandparents have a headstone about 3x that big, it has the family name on it (with a ton of scroll work and filigree) and then each member of the family has a separate named headstone with dates on it.  It included 8 lots at the cemetery and my mom has the receipt showing a cost of $48 in the late teens.  It is all red granite.  Today you'd probably pay upwards of $25k or more for it.  Also think about this, back then that work was almost all hand done, not like today with machines and sandblasted.

Is the woman Mrs. Krempel 14 years younger?
