Martini at Holt auctions

Sometimes I have a look at the British gun auctions and came across this yesterday.
Auction price guides leave a lot to be desired and don't forget what you have to pay the auction house for the privilege of buying something from them.
Some other nice guns there as well.
Give you something to look at if you are snowed in where you live.

Seems about right to me - the 'scope must be worth more than 600 GBP. My Parker-Hale 7x Gold cost me around 470 GBP about fifteen years ago.

I have a ·577"/450" Martini-Henry rifle and ditto, artillery carbine. Neither would make that sort of money though...

(But they make a bigger BANG!

Too pretty to take out and use in the field. Certinally will dress up somebody's safe though.
