frnkeore, Here are the barrel marking pictures. I think the small marking behind the rear scope block is a Kb in a circle. I now have news that the late Ken Bresien, rebored this barrel, to a .33, and that paul Shuttleworth cut the wood.  I am learning as I go in this sport with all of the kind help that i am receiving from members on this board. The markings seem to make it a original scoped, Steven barrel. The #1 is a mystery though as, it looks to be at least a #4 barrel.

If the forearm was original, it would have a scalop where it meets the receiver and probably 2 screws.

I'd dearly love to have a Bresien barrel Smiley

One of my 44 1/2's is a Bresien action. I got it as a kit, right after he sold his 44 1/2's to Shuttleworth (1986).
