Watching the vid, the only thing I can see is that somebody in the nice houses to the south want to do something with the land the range is on, what, who knows. But they want it cheaply.

I assume decible readings have been done everywhere with in the area by a rebutable sound company.  I highly doubt sound would be an issue even with some hi powered firearms.

Somebody is out to get the land or somebody associated with the range.

In Colorado, lived near a feed lot. Terrible when the wind blew. Could see the crap flying in the air in the lights at night. My neighbor lady across the street in Warshington had chickens and turkeys. 22 years of that.  By all means, pigs chickens and a big feed lot.

Dave. 100-200 meter indoor range?  Just received this picture from Biggi. Man shooting 100 meters indoors.  Pour walls on site, arched bar joist roof?

Could it be an option for your club?

Hey, that's a great range, Dave. I wish I had something like that.

$600? I think that's about $50 American Smiley

They have not yet confirmed if we would be allowed to shoot offhand.

Only 8 100 meter lanes and no 200.  Not big enough for a match  Cry

People better start thinking big when it comes to saving our shooting facilities.

Huh, I'm challenged shooting offhand in a vacuum. Tried muzzle heavy, muzzle light, different holds, sights, stocks and calibers. I'm better with a slingshot. Once, I shot the wind flag, so ceased using 'em. Smiley

An important thing to consider when a range is shut down in the US, the lead on that site is a hazardous waste and it is the responsibility of the owner to clean it up. You cannot sell the property without the new owner accepting the waste responsibility.

I know of only one instance when a court shut down a range at the request of a home owners group, the judge decided the home owners association should pay the club damages.

And they will not allow the use of wind socks.

No challenge shooting with no wind or mirage.

With a little heat in the floor, a few VFDs on some 250 hp motors, a few sensors connected to wind sensors  and some variable dimmers tired to cloud cover sensors, we could fix that  Grin  Might be cheaper to buy a set of golf clubs and join the country club  Cry
