The mistery man. Someone used to fill out an equipment report
That was fictional & comical at the Coors match.
I always wondered who had the vivid imagination.

Harlow is alive and doing his usual quality work! His business has expanded, and he was forced to hire extra employees to cover all the many guns he's responsible for upgrading!
Last November at the Big Reno gun show, I was fortunate to find a genuine Parkenfarker Rolling Block sporting rifle! Harlow had personally cut a new front sight dovetail using his patented hacksaw method, which in typical HP style, required a couple tries to really mess it up good! But he did some of his fine checkering on the buttplate to offset the work on the other end of the Roller!

I still have the rifle I shot my first deer with. It has Parkenfarker checkering.  Smiley    Have not seen modern Parkenfarker checkering.  Chauncy Roe used to be able to keep up with him and write reports. Used to be in the journal occasionally.

Mr.Parkenfarker is branching out into gunsmithing old military rifles. I have a 1895 Chilean mauser that started out as a full length rifle. Now has a 21"barrel that was cut down by using a pipe cutter, crowned with what looks like a machine screw, Cut down stock with grooves for the fingers and has a 7mm ppu case inlayed in the grip by the action tang. And for class has what appears to be a silver arrow head inlayed in the butt stock for good measure. The bolt handle ball has grooves cut with a dremel and it was a shame as it's all numbers matching. And the bore is nice. Frank
