Dissapointment - viewed a really promising Aydt

Went to view an Aydt just put up on GB, in Cornelius Or.  Am I glad I did;he photos were fuzzy and limited, so I took the trip after talking with the shop owner.
Second model with the single lever, and a fabulous bas-relief engraved receiver.  Barrel was rectangular-fluted between the ribs.  4-position front sight.  But....altho the shop owner said over the phone it was in excellent condition, the bore was rough, the rear trigger was broken off, and the rear sight was not a match.  The stock is cracked behind the tang, and the wood is chipped around the butt plate.
I'd love to have the rear sight disc; it has the rotating peep wheel.  But the shank is too large for the tang socket.  If someone wants a restoration project this will be one.  I pointed out the flaws to the auctioneer, but "caveat emptor".  He was less than forthcoming with me over the phone.  The bidder on this one is going to be very disappointed.  And...no inspection period is "unspecified".  Just passing it along, and mods pls delete if inappropriate.

Depends on the describor.  "Good" in that the lands were obvious but the grooves were frosted finely pitted.  But definitely not a clean bore by my standards.
That trigger repair bill will need to be factored in.  But she was a beauty in her day.  If one wants to repair the trigger and work on the rear sight shank it may be a decent shooter.

No, I was seduced by the proximity of this one and apparent condition.  In retrospect I realize that the one I got and you saw was the one I had been longing for.  I've always acquired by condition, condition and matching numbers.  So I can let this one move along without any sense of regret!

I can't say as I've ever seen a finer condition Aydt than the one you have! It's as good as they get for me!

"Good bore" means  the hole goes all the way through.
