Sorry I can't pin it down any closer, but seem to recall the warning about not using Stress Proof for barrels coming out sometime in the 1980s, maybe mid to latter part.

I did not know 12L14 was used for barrels. Jerry Barnet used it for his bullet molds, he gave me a square piece about 18 inches long, I was going to try my hand at mold making, never did.
