32 Long cases are hard to find

Rocky Mnt Ctg Co ... 32 Ballard Long - 43.75 for 20 ... Lathe Turned, not drawn

Too expensive for my shooting! I've been reloading the same 21 Winchester 32 Long Colt cases for my Ballard. I want to be able to bring more loaded ctgs to the range, and not spend a fortune to do it.

Starline 32 S&W Long $86.50 for 500, or $3.46 per 20. One of the big reasons I'm going to rechamber to 32 S&W Long. $43.75 gets you 252 of the Starline 32 S&WL cases.

Also, with the S&W  cartridge, you're dealing with an inside lubed bullet (for those of us shooting fixed ammunition).  No hassles getting the heel of the bullet the correct size for the case ID like you have with the Ballard 32 Long.

For some, the troubles and costs of getting set up to reload the 32 Long is part of the enjoyment, but I'm not one of those.

If by .32 Long we mean the Rimfire, the .32 Long Colt centerfire is no problem.  There's this guy on Gunbroker who makes and sells cases for a reasonable price, and also sells the correct heeled bullets.

Not that a liner chambered .32 S&W Long is a bad thing.

I have never found finding heel bullets for the 32 Long Center Fire to be a big problem.  And I don't have any trouble finding cases either.  Some guy on Gun Broker sells both for short money.  But I usually use the Winchester or Remington inside lube case.  I load that case to 32 ballard xl specs with smokeless powder to +/- 1100 fps.  Grin
