Transitional High Wall Winchester Muskets ?

Saw a couple interesting 22lr rifles today. Both were two band , but the rear sights were set back later like the second generation. One was the Krag type , other Hotchkis. Serial numbers were both close to 99800, which puts them around 1911 if my info is correct. Wondering if anyone had seen any like these. No extra holes in the barrels. Thanks !

Campbell, p.158 has a photo of one with a Krag sight mounted on the rear of the barrel. It's a takedown, and I don't know it that's pertinent to the rifles you viewed. So, Anyhow, there must be a few around somewhere.
Part of the fun of these is that many a rifle you see has some piece or another that will make you say-"is this wrong, or just unusual?" That's a nice looking one in the photo.

Took both to the range today. One shot fair, one very good despite worn bores. I bet the it was the first time in fifty years they were shot judging from all the dust, dirt, and grime that encrusted them when I got them.
