This is part of a response Gail at CPA sent me in regard to original hammer vs. low hammer.

Quote Gail, "The low hammer is standard on our rifles, so that is what you will have on yours unless you had requested the original style hammer."

BTW.  I ordered a Shilen rachet .22 RF barrel, match chamber, a matching fore arm checkered with a palm rest base, and D&T'd with bases.

Now I have to start looking for a globe front sight and tang sight.  The Kelly looks sharp but I have heard some negative comments and Baldwin will make a left hand tang sight since I shoot left handed. Any suggestions?

I need to read my writing.  I started off in first sentence, original trigger vs. low trigger.  (Must have been a Freudian slip).
I went back and corrected my opening sentence.

Schuetzenmiester, didn't mean to confuse you.  You sound fairly sane to me. Anybody in this game has to be a little off the bulls' eye. Smiley

The adjustment knob is on the left and scale is on the right.  Just a mirror image of the standard Soule sight.

I talked with Baldwin about the left hand configuration on his Soule sight. That's who I got my informtion from. He said I could order it through BACO. It's $30. more but it's worth the convenience  if you shoot left handed.

Well fooey on me, I have a Baldwin sight and all these years I thought it had the scale on both sides.  Good choice on your tang sight.  Ledball

Another option if you can find one is a parts unknown (red river) 78 style soule sight. I have one on 2 of my rifles and it has the scale on both sides of the sight so it can be used either left or right handed.

Kelly offers the scale on the right hand side as shown on BACO.  The Kelly sights are beautifully finished. Just ran across this on BACO.

I have never handled either Kelly or Baldwin sights.

Wished all my soule sights had the numbers on the left windage knob.  I'm right handed.

If you are shooting benchrest right hand, making windage adjustments would certinly be easier.

I have a Kelly sight and agree that's it's a finely made piece of equipment.  I haven't had any problem with the windage adjustment scale being on the right side.  I probably will now though. Thanks guys! Wink
