Stevens 1915 in centerfire question

I was looking on-line and saw a Stevens Model 1915 Favorite advertised in 32-20 centerfire.  Not having ever seen a Favorite in centerfire is this a common or more important, is it a safe conversion?  What is the relative strength of the 1915 action compared to a 44 action?  Tom

Favorite not safe for anything other than a .22 long rifle.

awhile back I had a guy call me and told me I put your new screws in my Favorite and the lasted only a few shots in talking with him I found out that he had built a new rifle using a favorite action in 256 winchester I told him HELL they shot lose with HV 22 long rifle. Stevens did make the 1894 in center fire for the brits in some rook cartridges ken

Thats kinda what I thought.  Made me cringe when I saw the caliber even though it is not exactly high pressure but the case head is so much larger it is bound to be an accident waiting to happen.  Tom

The only CF cartridge that might be considered safe would be the old .32 Long. But I'd be afraid of that even!

Old WRA catalogs show the 32 Long Rimfire loaded with 13 grains of black powder and a 90 grain lead bullet.
The 32 Long Colt is shown loaded with 12 grains of black powder and a 90 grain lead bullet.
The 32 S&W Long (32 Colt New Police) is shown loaded with 13 grains of black powder with a heavier 98 grain lead bullet, but using the Ideal/Lyman #313249 mould that casts the 85 grain bullet (used for the shorter 32 S&W cartridge) brings you back to the same 13 grain 32 Long Rimfire powder charge with a slightly lighter lead bullet.

I wouldn't attempt the conversion of a 1915 frame without the installation of a precisely fitted breachblock along with the installation of a lugged safety hammer (following the pattern of the one used in some of the 44 actions), and with
rebuilt linkage.
Ends up being be a lot of time and money to invest in a 1915 Favorite, when you can invest the same amount of time and money in the larger 44 action and be safer to boot.
