Mauser ES340B

I recently started into rimfire benchrest.  I'd been using this 1940 vintage Mauser ES340B with a 2.5x Ajack scope and high Mauser mounts, but couldn't shoot beyond 50 yards with that setup.  A machinist friend made up some aluminum blocks so that I can my Unertl 12x (with a 16x coming) and now I can shoot at 100 yards with ease.  The Mauser has a very high bolt-throw, but is very accurate even with the high mounts.

I have "several" Mauser pre-war sporters. They are amazingly accurate and the 2-stage trigger can be adjusted for a very crisp, almost target-type letoff.

I have a number of prewar German .22s: target, sporters, and military trainers. Just one of my collecting interests as well as range companion. Only one has a vintage scope and mount, so I am curious about whether the mount you had on it was vintage.
