Uberti parts

I'm sure the answer is no but just need to ask.  Will the parts from Uberti low wall and high wall  interchange with original Winchesters?  I would imagine that all the threads are metric on Italian guns.

Don't know the answer but if you call Taylor Firearms or Cimarron Firearms - ask for tech support - they'll give you the answer

If you do call them, please post their answer.

I for one would be very interested in the answer.

Last time I checked VTI gun parts was the factory distributer for all Uberti parts. I asked the same question about the #2 rolling block. They were kind enough to loan me all the parts. Unfortunately the answer is a resounding no.

My Uberti Hi Wall has standard 20 tpi barrel threads, and a fly cut high speed original hammer dropped in. The people at Taylor were kind enough to sell me an assembled DST lower tang for the cost of the parts. I have nothing but praise for the Uberti action and their support staff.

To answer the original question, not really. They are just slightly off . Some parts might be made to work like the hammer but it will need to be modified, they will not be drop in.I believe the parts are made to metric measurements (excluding the barrel threads) I compared a Uberti Schuetzen low wall parts to  Win low wall parts and it was a no go. I managed to squeeze an undersized Win Pope lever in a Uberti Schuetzen but the lever had to be bushed and a new pin made and shims added between the lever and the receiver but it works fine

Why put foreign parts onto an American rifle?  MVA is making parts for the original h/low wall Winchester.  There are also several other shops making various parts for the Winchester single shots.

George, the answer is low price, availability and good quality.
Unfortunately, most metric parts will need modified to function in original actions.
Metric Sharps 74 parts are also in a slightly different Spec.& Dim. that will resist use in originals, even as a temporary substitute.
