I like the rifle alot, because of the lever style and the thick side feature. Also, the comb is shaped a little (but noticably) different.

It's 25/20ss and the barrel that I installed was marked 12 twist but, after installing it, it turned out to be a 18 twist. That's why I never finished it. It will shoot the 257420 w/o tipping but, the accuracy isn't there so, it just sets in the safe Sad

My Brown has the same stick bolt through the plate arrangement.

Ballards may be weaker,

As did Merrimack Ballards made previously to Brown Ballards.
