I hear it is well worth the money from the fellows over on Bench Rest Central and all though it is written for the serious Jacketed Bench rest gang there still is alot that pertains to a serious cast bullet bench rest shooter.

When Precesion Shooting was in business I always read anything about Tony Boyer.  He knew how to  win rifle matches. No Precesion shooting have not followed bench rest don't know if he still competes

I would think the book is very worthwhile.

I am currently reading Mr. Boyer's book.  It is a good read and has refreshed many shooting skills.  I have also learned a few things. Mr. Boyer makes a point of practice, and practice in bad conditions.  He says you learn more then.
I would also recommend two Long Range Wind books. They are by Highpower rifle shooters. "Prone and Long Range Rifle Shooting" by Nancy Tompkins and " The Wind Book for Rifle Shooters" by Linda Miller & Keith Cunningham .

Great book, I'm on my second lap. I would highly recommend both it and Mike Ratigan's book .

I am primarily a jacketed bullet BR shooter. I've had 2 different sessions with Tony Boyer and have his book. My first lesson with Tony was him observing me while I shot. We were shooting at 200 yds. at Mickey Coleman's range in Alabama,Rachel's Glen. Tony set facing me and not the range. He had a 200yd target and a lead pencil. I fired 5 shots. He showed me his target and said this is how your group looked. He said your 1 bullet was a little high, the second high and right, and the other 3 in the mothball. He was exactly right and I wanted to know how he knew. Tony said the first shot went high because of the thumb pressure that I applied to the butt, the second was high and right because of the same thumb pressure and he said I put a little pressure on the butt stock with my right hand. The other 3 went where they belonged. I walked down to retrieve the target and he was exactly right. He is incredible!
I have Mike Ratigan's book and I prefer Mikes.
Tony had a stroke last year, but is still shooting very competitively.
